A series of events and activities were run from May 2021 and completed at the end of May 2023 to test new approaches to revitalising Bexleyheath town centre. The team behind Bohemia Place Market have been successfully running markets alongside community consultation that have led to wayfinding and accessibility improvements. The scheme conducted 14 youth workshops with 59 students aged between 11-18 years old along with 8 older residents, and 180 young people partaking in an online survey
With a mission to bring the wonder back to Earls Court, this programme aims to act as a home for creative talent. Earls Court Community Hub, Artist in Residence and gardens helped create £524,000 of social impact in 2023. The BBC Earth Experience and The Lost Estate immersive theatre and dining experience have also attracted visitors to the area.

Across the 34ha site, Wembley Park’s Placemaking Strategy showcases an annual line-up of free-to-attend public events in addition to the The Wembley Park Art Trail public art programme. Recent notable events include Wembley Park Live, International Busking Day, the lights festival Winterfest, and Wemba’s Dream—a performance festival co-produced with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. The project also provided 26 affordable artist studios.

From 14-30 July, 2023 at Middleton Hall, 15,000 people experienced the Place Between immersive installation. Hundreds of people took part in daily flower-garland making sessions and that were incorporated into the final artwork, which included 20,000 plants and other materials, integrated with 200,000 of Rebecca Louise Law’s own curated items. The exhibition was accompanied by a soundscape by Jason Singh.

The two-day free We Invented the Weekend Festival in MediaCity and Salford Quays takes place on the first weekend of June. The festival includes 200 free activities available to access and an array of performances and participatory moments. In 2023, 60,000 attendees enjoyed water sports on the canal, live music and dance performances, planting workshops and vintage markets. The festival generated £3.2 million for the local economy in its inaugural year.

Bath’s Assembly Rooms hosted Forest of Imagination from 14 June to 14 July, 2023. The project celebrated 10 years of Forest of Imagination as a contemporary arts event in Bath. Around 20 local schools, 5 partner universities and 50 artists and creative professionals worked inside and outside the building, transforming spaces into a series of playful, narrative, nature-inspired art experiences.

From 2–18 September 2022, at Victoria Square in Birmingham, PoliNations created giant architectural trees forming a canopy over a ‘super-garden’ with live stages and various talks and workshops. The project had 12,000 participants engaged in workshops and a series of talks and a live audience of 150,000 people. The outreach programme worked with 60+ community groups and more than 1,000 people who participated in growing and planting PoliNations.
