Four buildings in the heart of Egham make up the £90m Magna Square development. The project delivered 67 apartments for private sale or rent, 34 affordable flats and student accommodation; with an additional 1,000sqm of new commercial space at ground floor level.

Since its first phase 12 years ago, the 23.3ha site at MediaCity now hosts 7,000 residents, almost 10,000 students across five educational establishments, 250 small to medium sized businesses as well as a number of large corporates such as Kellogg’s, Ericsson and ITV.

Your New Town Hall in Brixton has two parcels with a combined 1.68 hectare area. The £68 million scheme to refurbish the town hall includes restoration of the historic Ivor House; a new 11,000sqm civic hub; 1,200sqm new Lambeth Council offices and archive space, and 194 new homes of which 40% are affordable.

Springfield Village, London Borough of Wandsworth, for South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust and STEP (Joint venture between Sir Robert McAlpine, Capital Ventures and Kajima Partnerships)

Premised on integrating mental healthcare and community, Springfield Village develops land and formerly used buildings from the Springfield University Hospital campus. Funded by South-West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust £150m project provides for 800 homes, a 12.9ha public park, mental health facilities, an elder home, shops and cafes, and space to develop a school.

At the old site of Manchester Metropolitan University, Kampus is composed of 5 buildings with a GBA of 67,000sqm. The project hosts 534 build-to-rent apartments along with 40,000 square feet of independent bars, cafés and restaurants, acting as an extension to Canal Street. The £250m space has further uses ranging from food and drink festivals, to cultural events and art-driven spaces.

Stanley Square, Sale, for Altered Space, with SimpsonHaugh Architects

Since 2021, 5,500sqm have been redeveloped in Sale’s Stanley Square. Just five miles from Manchester City Centre, 14 new first-floor flex office spaces known as The ClassRooms; as well as updates to the public realm; additional food and beverage space; changes to unit sizes; and a 500sqm nursery have defined the project to date.

Unity Place is a 235-dwelling social housing project in the South Kilburn Estate of North London on an area of 1.31ha. Part of the 20-year regeneration masterplan, the £75.5m scheme establishes a new public park framed by the St Augustine’s Kilburn Church and the 26,964sqm new buildings to offer a new civic square and public play space for the local community.

Gascoigne East Phase 2, London Borough of Barking & Dagenham, for London Borough of Barking & Dagenham and Be First, with White Arkitekter, Civic Engineers, Turkington Martin and Willmott Dixon

Phase II of the redevelopment of the Gascoigne neighbourhood consists of 434 apartments and four townhouses, at a cost of about £135m. With 62% of the housing designated as affordable or shared, the remaining 38% of homes are for private sale. The 46,500sqm project includes a 5,000sqm park co-designed with students from local Greatfields School, which sits in the heart of the neighbourhood.
